The Citizen’s Fire Academy is designed to provide people an opportunity to go behind-the-scenes with the Ozark Fire Protection District. The Academy will educate citizens and the business community about the services provided by the OFPD, increased fire and life-safety awareness, and establish a strong partnership with members of the community.
Participants will be exposed to all aspects of the department’s operations and either take part in or view demonstrations on fire scene operations, vehicle extrication, search & rescue, and many other topics. Each participant will also receive CPR certification upon successful completion of the class.
The 2018 Citizen’s Fire Academy will start on August 14, 2018 and meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at OFPD Station #1 with one Saturday class. A graduation ceremony will be scheduled in December 2018.
