Description
Jim Price is a dedicated veteran and community leader with 38 years of distinguished federal service. The son of a soldier, Jim spent his youth moving across the country before his family settled in Springfield, Missouri, where he graduated from Glendale High School. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1982. Rising through the ranks, he later earned a commission and served for 24 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Following his military retirement, Jim continued to serve the nation as a civilian Counterintelligence Special Agent. His final assignment before retiring from federal service was as the Special Agent in Charge of a Counterintelligence Detachment in Stuttgart, Germany. Throughout his career, he deployed multiple times to Bosnia, Afghanistan, and Iraq. His military decorations include the Bronze Star, seven Meritorious Service Medals, the Senior Parachutist Badge, and the Ranger Tab. While on active duty, Jim also earned a master’s degree in human relations from the University of Oklahoma.
Now residing in Ozark, Missouri, Jim remains deeply involved in his community. He is an active member of the Ozark Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Ozark, and he currently serves as the Post Commander of Sam Appleby Jr. Memorial VFW Post 7628. Jim and his wife, Christy, have two adult children. Their son continues the family legacy of service as a third-generation soldier in the Army Reserve.
